VALOX™ Resins: Automotive Thermoplastic Solutions from SABIC
Engineered for demanding electrical applications in electric, hybrid and internal combustion engine vehicles, VALOX™ resins are excellent candidates for automotive components from connection systems and EV chargers to power distribution boxes. These crystalline PBT-based materials, which include flame-retardant and glass fiber-reinforced grades, deliver high dielectric strength, consistent dielectric constant and low dissipation. Thanks to low water absorption, they maintain these properties in humid environments.
Rounding out the list of desirable characteristics, VALOX resins offer outstanding dimensional stability for parts with critical tolerances, as well as outstanding heat and chemical resistance. These versatile materials can be processed using injection molding, blow molding, thermoforming, extrusion and structural foam molding.
