SABIC® PP Resins: Automotive Thermoplastic Solutions from SABIC
SABIC® PP copolymer grades are excellent candidates for large and small interior and exterior parts requiring aesthetics and a balance of impact resistance and stiffness.
In interiors, relevant applications include door and trunk panels, pillar and seat cladding, and other trim components. In exteriors, target applications include bumper fascias and cladding.
The low density of PP compared to talc-filled PP compounds and engineering thermoplastics offers opportunities to reduce weight and cost. These materials also feature inherent low gloss and scratch resistance. The portfolio now features low-emission grades for odor control in interiors, and high-impact and high-stiffness grades for demanding OEM needs in applications such as door panels.
