SABIC’S TRACK RECORD HELPED FORMULA E BREAK THEIRS
SABIC’s track record of innovation and technology came to the forefront in the design and development of the Formula E car that set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the fastest speed achieved by a vehicle indoors.
The GENBETA car hit a top speed of 218.71KPH, in the Duals format that is used to qualify for Formula E races.
The vehicle is part of the GENBETA live development and innovation project, which aims at exploring new materials and technologies for future EV race and road cars.
The GENBETA, which is based on the GEN3 car, is the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric car in the world, thanks in part to the front wing end plates, deflectors, and wheel fins developed by SABIC, which help enhance the car’s aerodynamics and contribute to its acceleration and speed.
