2022 marked the launch of our thrilling new partnership with Formula E. As the foremost championship for electric cars, Formula E is where some of the greatest manufacturers race wheel-to-wheel on the streets of iconic global cities. Our long-term partnership with the world’s first net-zero sport will push the boundaries of electric vehicles (EVs) like never before.

Unrivaled performance
The GEN3 is the fastest and most efficient Formula E car yet. It reaches speeds over 322 kph/200 mph, delivers 95% power efficiency and has an ultra-high speed charging capability. As the first-ever formula car with both front and rear powertrains, the GEN3 is a powerhouse with more than double the regenerative capability of the older GEN2.
Unfettered collaboration
Every element of the GEN3 has been rethought, redesigned and rebuilt. Alongside multidisciplinary teams at the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and Formula E, SABIC helped incorporate sustainable high-performance materials that are recyclable, lighter and uniquely flame-retardant.
Uncompromising sustainability
The GEN3 has a closely monitored and off-set carbon footprint. The bodywork comes from linen and recycled carbon fiber from retired GEN2 cars, 26% of the tires from natural rubber and recycled fibers, and it has some of the most advanced and sustainable batteries ever made.
