HOME OF INNOVATION™ HOST ANNUAL PARTICIPANTS GATHERING

On February 26th, our Home of Innovation™ (HoI) hosted its annual Participants Gathering at Riyadh Techno Valley. The event saw SABIC celebrate its partnership with industry-leading global, regional and local companies committed to business growth and sustainable innovation.

The event showcased the HoI's key achievements, technological developments and a review of its 2020 strategy.  HoI strategy aims to create a collaboration platform under the local content orientation that transforms ideas to industry through our OEM participants and strategic internal & external stakeholders. At the event, SABIC's Local Content VP; Eng. Fuad Mosa, demonstrated the company's localization catalyst; Nusaned, its achievements and planned future journey in line with Saudi Vision 2030.  SABIC's HoI and Nusaned™ local content initiatives are working together to support Saudi's Vision 2030. The Saudi Vision 2030 includes reducing dependency on oil and gas revenues, increasing SMEs' contribution to the GDP, and decreasing unemployment.

The event also saw one of the HoI's™ Leadership Level Participants; Guardian Glass, exhibit technology which have successfully enabled the reduction of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning energy consumption by 8 per cent. “We have succeeded in bridging the gap between HoI participants, including demand creators, specifiers, material experts and OEM manufacturers. A recent example of a technical breakthrough is the notable energy savings we achieved by upgrading the exterior glass at our facility. We accomplished this through our leadership level participant, Guardian Glass, and by utilizing our data acquisition system of over 10,000 data points, said Dr. Khaled F. Al-Hajeri, Senior manager, Home of Innovation.

HoI partners attending the event included representatives from Alzamil Group, Harwal Group, Siemens, Neproplast, Guardian Glass, Schneider Electric, ABB, Hager, 3M, Alfanar, AlKhorayef, Al Munif, DMC, Gulf Corners , MEFC, NAPCO, Riyadh Cables, Saudi Drip, Somfy, Sudair Pharma, Sylvania, Spectra, Zero Mass and AGMC.

The event concluded with a networking session with Saudi's innovation related stakeholders; KSA's governmental bodies and regulators, demand creators and Gega project owners, OEM manufacturers and participants, as well as a number of SABIC business units. Overall, the event resulted in impactful discussions that showcased the nation's interest in been part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to create value.
